新材料故事 | 0.15mm超薄玻璃切割,皮秒激光在玻璃加工中的应用

超薄玻璃

我们一般把0.1-1.1mm厚度的玻璃称为超薄玻璃,超薄玻璃也叫超薄电子触控玻璃。超薄玻璃具有优良的硬度、透明性、耐热性、电气绝缘性、不透气性,在氧化和光照环境下具有相对稳定的机械和化学性能,可应用于平板电脑、手机、可穿戴设备、车载显示等显示器,如腕表、2.5D、3D手机、折叠手机、柔性电子书、曲面电视等,是21世纪不可或缺的关键材料。0.12mm超薄玻璃薄如蝉翼,不仅透光率高,而且柔韧性好,被弯曲成环状也不会折断,堪称玻璃中的黑科技。

产品应用

超薄玻璃主要应用于现有的智能手机、智能电视、电脑等市场。智能手机包含基板玻璃、彩色滤光玻璃、ITO导电玻璃、导光板玻璃、手机前后盖板玻璃等多种电子玻璃加工产品,是电子玻璃最重要的应用领域之一。智能手机大尺寸化、智能化、高清化,尤其是5G通讯,给电子玻璃加工带来了巨大的市场需求。

超薄玻璃的加工技术-切割

超薄电子玻璃的切割加工主要包括两部分:一是玻璃原片的切割;二是加工后的电子玻璃的切割。

目前,超薄电子玻璃切割方式主要有两种:传统的硬质合金或金刚石刀轮切割,以及新兴的皮秒激光切割

超快激光通过聚焦头聚焦获得的微米级光束,具有高峰值功率密度。光束作用在玻璃材料上时,光束中心光强度比边缘低,使得材料中心折射率比边缘变化大,光束中心传播速度比边缘慢,光束出现非线性光学克尔效应来产生自聚焦,继续提升功率密度。直到达到某个能量阈值,材料产生低密度等离子体,降低材料中心折射率,实现光束散焦。在实际切割玻璃中,优化聚焦系统及焦距,可实现重复性聚焦/散焦过程,形成稳定穿孔。
